A MOBA is a long, committed match. Ten players accept a game, split into two balanced teams and fight over one map full of minions, towers and objectives. Afterwards the win or loss moves everyone’s rank. Summer gives you each of those pieces. This page shows how they fit together.

How it fits together

The MOBA loop: players party up, matchmaking forms two balanced teams of five, everyone accepts, the match runs on one server, and the result updates ratings and the leaderboard. The MOBA loop: players party up, matchmaking forms two balanced teams of five, everyone accepts, the match runs on one server, and the result updates ratings and the leaderboard. A duo presses Play together. Matchmaking forms two teams of five with the most even ratings it can find, keeps the duo together, and asks all ten players to accept. Summer starts a server for the match. Your server runs the map and decides when a team wins, and every player’s rating moves.

Plan my game
