MAX lets Summer pick frontier models and experts for demanding tasks. It appears as MAX Mode at the top of the model selector, next to Auto. MAX is on every paid plan. On the Free plan it shows a lock, and picking it opens the upgrade prompt.
MAX costs much more than Auto. Watch your usage while you use it.

  • Complex refactors and architecture work.
  • Hard problems where quality matters more than speed or cost.
For everyday work, Auto is faster and uses less of your balance.

The models behind MAX can change as new frontier models ship. If you want one specific model, pick it in the selector. See Models.
