Early access. Promotions is still being built. Discounts and prices by country are live. A promotion slot is an application to the Summer team, not a purchase. Until you have a game on Summer Games, this page shows example data, marked Example data.
Open Promotions at summerengine.com/studio/grow/promotions. It has three parts.

1. See what players pay now

Prices and discounts on Summer Games now lists each paid game: its list price, what players pay now, the discount and its dates, and whether players can buy it yet. A free game has no price to discount.

2. Put a game on sale

A sale is a discount with a start and an end, set on the game itself:

Open the game's Get paid step

Click Change price or discount next to the game.

Set the discount

Choose a Discount from 1% to 90%, when it Starts (today if empty) and when it Ends. A sale runs at most 90 days.

Save

Click Save price. Between those dates players pay the discounted price, and Players pay now on Promotions shows it.

3. Set prices by country

One base price in US dollars applies everywhere. You can set your own price in the countries you choose:
  1. Under Prices by country, pick a Country and enter the Price (USD).
  2. Leave End in .99 on to round to a whole dollar ending in .99.
  3. Click Set price. The line above the button shows what players there will see.
In VAT and GST countries the price players see includes the tax; elsewhere it is before tax. Remove a country to go back to the base price. Prices are locked while a price test runs. If Summer Games has not opened prices by country for your game yet, the page says so and everyone pays the base price.

Apply for a promotion slot

A promotion slot is a sale the Summer team plans and promotes with you. Fill in Apply for a promotion slot: Click Send application. The Summer team reaches out by email to plan it with you. Nothing is charged and nothing is scheduled when you apply. Your applications shows each one’s status: Applied, We reached out, Accepted or Not this time. The owner or an admin of the game can apply.

With your agent

Ask “put my game 25% off next week” or “set my price in Germany”. The Studio assistant reads your prices, sets prices by country, and opens the game’s Get paid step for discounts.
