# Store page text for the desktop and mobile stores

> Title, tagline, desktop and mobile descriptions, tags and age rating for a Summer Games store page. Limits, how to write each one, and how Same as desktop works.

Your store page has one title and one set of tags. The tagline and description come in two versions: one for the **desktop store** and a shorter one for the **mobile store**, because the mobile text sits on a phone card.

The mobile store has its own tagline and a description of 120 to 170. Same as desktop copies the desktop text once. Title and tags are shared." width="880" height="255" data-path="images/guide-art/publishing/text-light.svg" />

## The fields

| Field | Store | Limit | Write |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Title** | both | up to 60 characters | The game's real name. No slogan. |
| **Tagline** | desktop | up to 80 characters | What you do, in words players search for. |
| **Description** | desktop | 120-300 characters | The first sentence sells the game: what you do and why it is fun. Then what is different. |
| **Mobile tagline** | mobile | up to 80 characters | The same hook, or "Same as desktop". |
| **Mobile description** | mobile | 120-170 characters | Shorter: it fits on the phone story card. |
| **Tags** | both | 3-8 | Store categories players browse. |
| **Age rating** | both | one | Everyone, Everyone 10+ or Teen, plus what applies: mild fantasy action, competitive play, user-generated content, flashing lights, simulated gambling. |
| **Release date** | both | optional | A day, a month, a quarter or a year, or "coming soon". |

A game only on iPhone and Android uses the desktop fields as its mobile text, so keep them to 120-170 characters.

## Same as desktop

When the desktop text already fits the phone, use **Same as desktop** instead of typing it again.

* It copies the desktop tagline and description into the mobile store **once**. Later desktop edits do not follow.
* If the copy is longer than 170 characters, the field shows the counter in red. Nothing is cut silently. Shorten it.
* An empty mobile field shows the desktop text on phones.
* Only text copies. Art never copies between stores.

Your agent does the same with `mobileSameAsDesktop: true` in `summer_store_update_listing`.

## Good and bad

| | Good | Bad |
| - | - | - |
| Tagline | "Co-op cave diving with a rope that ties you together" | "An epic adventure awaits" |
| Description start | "Dive caves with up to four friends, tied by one rope: if one falls, everyone feels it." | "Embark on an immersive journey like never before." |

Studio flags filler phrases such as "unleash", "embark on", "immersive journey", "like never before", "next level" and "endless possibilities".

## Tags

Pick 3-8 of the store's categories:

Horror, City & settlement, Casual, Anime, Fighting, Story rich, Open world, Visual novel, Puzzle, Role-playing, Simulation, Survival, Racing, Adventure, Action, Free to play, Sci-fi & cyberpunk, Cooperative, Strategy, Roguelike, Platformer, Sports.

## Rules

* Describe only what the game has. No invented features, modes, player counts or awards.
* No prices or fees in the text. The price is set separately.
* Saving never submits.

  * Read my project and its board first. Describe only what the game has.
  * Desktop: a tagline (at most 80 characters), a description (120-300) and
    3-8 store tags.
  * Mobile: use "same as desktop" if the description fits 120-170 characters;
    otherwise write a shorter one.
  * Pick the age rating and what applies.
  * Show me the text, then save it with summer\_store\_update\_listing.
