# Enter the Summer Games Jam

> The Summer Games Jam is a weekly game jam: build a game in a week, upload it in Studio, and it shows on the jam page on summer.games. How to enter, what your entry shows, and where the rules are.

The **Summer Games Jam** is a weekly game jam. Each jam has a theme and a closing time. You build a game in a week, upload it in Studio, and your entry shows on the jam's page on summer.games.

The current jam, its theme, closing time and rules are on [summer.games/events](https://summer.games/events).

## Enter

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the upload with the jam picked">
    Click **Submit your game** on [summerengine.com/jam](https://summerengine.com/jam), or open `summerengine.com/studio/upload?event=<jam>`. The link picks the jam for you. You can also open [Publish a game](https://summerengine.com/studio/upload) and choose the jam under **Enter a jam (optional)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name your game and pick its targets">
    The form shows the theme and when entries close. Choose **Web** to give your entry a Play button in the browser. Click **Save and continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload your build">
    On the next steps, upload a web export under **Play in the browser** (a `.zip` with `index.html` at its root). Add your art and text like any store page. See [Publish your game](/grow/publish).
  </Step>
</Steps>

By submitting you agree to the Summer Games Jam rules and the [Summer Games Terms](https://summer.games/terms).

## Your entry

* **Your entry is your game.** Its title, art and builds on the jam page update as you change them in Studio.
* Every step of your game's page shows **You're in** the jam, with a link to the jam page.
* Until a web export is ready, your entry shows on the jam page without a Play button.
* Your game's **Full dashboard** has a **Game jam** section: enter a jam later, or **Withdraw**.

A jam entry is not a review. To list the game on Summer Games itself, submit the store page for review as usual.

## With your agent

Ask your agent to "enter my game in the jam". Through the Summer Engine MCP it lists the open jams with `summer_store_jams` and enters with `summer_store_enter_jam`, or picks the jam when it creates the store game. In Studio, the assistant picks the jam on **Publish a game** for you. See [Use the agent](/grow/use-the-agent).
